Through partnerships with K-8 schools, KID smART provides collaborative artist residencies, professional development for teachers and teaching artists, after-school and community-based programming to empower all children to unlock their full academic, creative, and personal potential.
Working with the Board of Directors and Executive Director, the Development Director designs and implements strategic fund development plans aligned with KID smART's values of collaboration, creativity, sustainability, and equity to broaden sustainable financial support for continued growth of the organization.
In close collaboration with the Executive Director, Board, Staff, and volunteers, the Development Director will develop and execute a comprehensive fund development plan to meet the organization's financial needs.
In addition, the Development Director will be responsible for initiating and leading relationship building with all potential and existing donors and supporting the Executive Director with representing KID smART in a community relations role at events and conducting presentations on behalf of the organization.
As part of KID smART's 25th Anniversary year, the organization plans to launch a $3 million capital campaign to secure programming space and expansion.
Donor Relationship Cultivation:
Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, foundation, corporate, and public sector support to fund KID smART's ongoing operations and, when needed, special projects.
Community Relations:
Assist with creating and disseminating a strategic, compelling, and consistent organizational message with the goal of raising awareness and financial support of the organization.
Fundraising Strategy Fulfillment:
Create a comprehensive, year-round fundraising plan that takes into account the following types of donors:
Individual, Foundation, Corporate, and Government.
Oversee the preparation and submission of grant applications to new and existing foundation and corporate donors; as well as all reporting requirements for awarded grants Board Support & Reporting:
Lead the Fund Development Committee of the Board and present regular fund development reports for Board meetings.
Prepare monthly and annual revenue reports to assess program effectiveness based on established development benchmarks and recommend alterations to plans based on trends Other Duties and
Responsibilities:
Stay informed regarding innovations and trends in the development fields, including tax aspects of charitable gifts and legislation affecting such gifts.
Work closely with the Communications Manager on donor collateral material including but limited to Annual Impact Report, Case for Giving, and Creative Collective.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
