Job Description:
The Van Driver is responsible for safely shuttling senior citizens in a 12-seat passenger van to/from Kinship Senior Center and for various sanctioned activities.
The position reports to the Executive Director.
Paid vacation and sick time.
No benefits.
16 dollars an hour.
Typical driving hours minimum:

About 4 times a year the van driver will also drive to a from various field trips (museums, zoo, etc).
Kinship van services only services 70125, 70115, and 70118 zip codes.
Driver picks up seniors from their front door and drives them to Kinship Center in the morning and home again in the afternoon.
The driver also takes people on group day trips on two or three days each week.
The driver is responsible for tracking daily safety logs, alerting the director to deadlines for insurance, registration, and other State requirements, scheduling routine maintenance and cleanings of the van, and ensuring the safety of riders.
The Van Driver also assists with setting up rooms for activities, emptying trash bins at the close of each day, and generally assists with activities.
Van Driver must be able and willing to lead activities such as games or bingo as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Commercial driving experience preferred -Must be patient, flexible, trustworthy, dependable, respectful, and a team player.
-Preferred:
be able to use email and Internet.
-Must be able to ensure maintenance of the van health -Must be able to fill out reports regarding van maintenance and passenger log -Must have a personal cell phone that can be used for work.
-Must be willing to work with senior citizens or frail people.
-Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
