Job Overview:
The Data Engineer/Business Analystwill be responsible for managing and continuously improving data-driven reporting, conducting data analysis in support of strategic projects, and reporting across multiple programs in APTIM's Energy Solutions team.
The successful candidate will collaborate with program management staff to identify areas for improvement and deliver work on committed timelines.
The position may be up levelled to a Business Analyst/Data Engineer, depending on the experience of the successful candidate.
The Data Engineer will develop program dashboards and reports and conduct regular review of program data to identify trends, insights, risks, and opportunities.
In this role, the Engineer will have experience utilizing Microsoft Power BI, ensure data is clean, of high quality, and lead database maintenance ensuring user specifications are communicated appropriately and will track the completion status of the development schedule.
The Engineer will serve as the first point of contact for leadership staff needing quick turn-around reporting.
Additionally, this role will interface with vendors and technology solution providers, ensuring that data integrations are functioning, data is flowing properly and that requirements are met to ensure successful outcomes.

In consultation with program staff, develop a vision and plan for long term improvement of program tracking and reporting system Work with management to identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements within Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI systems and reports Management, continuous improvement and optimization of program tracking system, databases, and program reporting/analysis in collaboration with program staff Working with internal IT resources and external IT vendors, manage system improvement and program reporting/analysis in collaboration upgrade projects on behalf of program managers Ongoing assurance of end-to-end data integrity, security and accessibility supporting energy programs Regular and ad-hoc analysis on program data and KPIs Regular and ad-hoc analysis of market, demographic, and other industry data in support of program development, innovation and sales Development of dynamic program dashboards and regular, pre-defined reports Regularly evaluate program data to find trends, insights, risks and opportunities Interface with software developerscommunicate requirements, manage requests Conduct QA/QC of program processes and protocols related to data and reporting, offering improvements and recommendations Support business development efforts by specifying system requirements and costs for new work Support new program startups buy configuring software for new scopes of work Ensure compliance with all APTIM and client quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
High degree of proficiency with business intelligence tools and databases 1
year utilizing a Microsoft Dynamics-based software solution Experience working with data and systems like Salesforce to drive reporting and identify upgrades to the system Minimum 1
year project management experience Ability to create new modeling/forecasting approaches to support program development such as market propensity models, sensitivity analysis and regression models Ability to work independently and within a team environment Proficient in Microsoft Office softwareExcel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Power BI Able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines Strong written and oral communication skills and experience with client engagement and coordination Strong quantitative and analytic capabilities including memorandum writing and spreadsheet analysis Desired/Preferred
Qualifications:
One or more years' energy efficiency and DSM program experience Understanding of energy efficiency technologies and energy-saving solutions including, lighting, HVAC and mechanical systems Experience and/or training with Power BI Experience and/or training with Microsoft Dynamics Additional Job InformationWho we are and what we do:

The targeted salary for this position is $75,000 - 85,000/YR Recommended Skills Analytical Business Development Business Intelligence Business Process Improvement Communication Consulting Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
