Please note:
This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time.
The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations.
This position may be performed anywhere in the U.
S.
except California, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky and New York.
Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors.
Should the positions shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.
DescriptionPerform accounting and tax duties with monthly close and quarterly provision processes, automation, and process management.
Responsibilities includes developing an understanding of Freeport-McMoRan technologies, systems, and tools.
Building and maintain tax automations and system solutions.
Partnering with cross-functional teams and external advisors to identify, develop, and deploy technology solutions for the Tax Department.
Work within Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP ECC/S4 HANA) systems, consolidation systems (OneStream/HFM), proprietary systems, and large databases to create custom tables, schedules, and/or reports that can be leveraged for downstream tax processes.
Assist with user acceptance testing on tax systems or data/reports from accounting systems.
Assist Tax Department in monthly close and quarterly provision processes, automation, and management.
Analyze, improve and automate foreign invoicing processes.
Develop working knowledge of foreign tax concepts.
Develop an understanding of Freeport-McMoRan technologies, systems, and tools to ensure the successful completion and deployment of projects.
Build and maintain tax automations and system solutions using tools like Alteryx, Power Query BI/Tableau, etc Partner with cross-functional teams (Consolidations, Legal, Financial Reporting, Treasury, Accounting, etc.
) and external advisors to identify, develop, and deploy technology solutions for the Tax Department.
Perform other duties as requested.
QualificationsMinimum
Qualifications:
This position requires international air travel.

Master's degree in Information Technology, Tax, Accounting, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Tax, Accounting, or related area and two (2) years of professional experience in Information Technology, Tax, or Accounting; OR Associate's degree in Information Technology, Tax, Accounting, or related area and four (4) years professional experience in Information Technology, Tax, or Accounting; OR High School diploma or GED and six (6) years professional experience in Information Technology, Tax, or Accounting, including two (2) years in prolong intellectual instruction (certifications, instructed training, OR on the job training, etc.

Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationallyPreferred
Qualifications:
Three (3)
years of client service experience as a Corporate Tax Compliance Specialist Three (3)
years digital transformation experience Experience with multinational Corporate Tax compliance, processes, and policies.
Agile delivery and design thinking experience Business process analysis and design experience Project management End-to-end technology project delivery Assist in the development of a tax technology strategy supporting tax compliance and provision platforms to maximize efficiencies and streamline processes Strong communication skills and be a champion of process and technology improvements.
Criteria/Conditions:
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

Benefits DetailsCompensation:
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $60,000-$82,000.
This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions.
Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
