Law Firm Claims Analyst

DescriptionPhelps Dunbar LLP is an AmLaw 200 full-service law firm.
The Claims Analyst will handle cyber liability claims as part of the London Claims Group, an in-house claims management group located in New Orleans.
There also may be involvement in moderate to higher level professional liability claims.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Conduct preliminary verification of coverage.
Perform initial intake of cyber liability claims and subsequent reporting.
Perform claims investigations, gathering all relevant facts and documents.
Formulate and regularly review reserves.
Develop handling strategies in conjunction with breach counsel.
Manage incident response with breach counsel and associated vendors.
Prepare detailed reports to clients.
RequirementsEducation and Experience Required:
BA/BS Degree.
A minimum of three - five years of claims experience, preferably in Cyber, GL, and Professional Liability (e.
g.
, A&E, insurance agent E & O, lawyers professional liability).
Current Adjuster's license preferred.
CPCU, ARM or other advanced designations desirable.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills with MS Office Suite software.
An intermediate knowledge of technology and current cyber business risks.
Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability and flexibility to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to travel on limited basis.
Performance Measures:
The Claims Analyst will be evaluated by the Department Head and others if appropriate.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
