Business Development Manager, Marine

A Snapshot of Your Day This role leads all aspects of Siemens Energy Maritime & Offshore Americas development of strategies for profitable penetration into the US Maritime & Offshore segments in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) of the USA with a Primary focus in the Maritime Industry including:

Leads and drives initiatives which result in profitable market strategies.

Owns the development and execution of market and account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals.

Guides business development within assigned key accounts and/or markets.

Develops relationship and sponsorship with key decision-makers at key shipyards, owner/operators and naval architects.

Leads sales teams on key, must-win opportunities to develop sales strategy, technical solution and proposals.

The role will report to the Head of Maritime & Offshore Americas How Youll Make an Impact The specific responsibilities and deliverables associated with this role.

Win profitable orders
Ensure customer satisfaction with assigned shipbuilders and owner/operators
Develop and implement detailed account plans at key market accounts.

Develop relationship at key market accounts
Lead capture teams and develops capture large and significant Must Win opportunities.

Works closely with other Maritime & Offshore Americas Business Development Managers, the Project Execution and Bid Management Teams in USA and Canada.
What You Bring Required knowledge/skills, education, and experiences to be considered for this position.

BS, EE or ME, Marine Engineering and or Vessel Design (Naval Architect)
Previous marine industry, shipyard or US Navy experience
Previous sales and business development experience
50% travel (based on location)
Required knowledge, skills, or expertise

Demonstrates Knowledge of Marine market with contacts at shipyards, owners operator and naval architects in the USA.

Demonstrates knowledge in Marine & Offshore electrical, automation and propulsion applications and solutions.

Previous experience selling large, capital new build projects.
