Quality Control / Quality Assurance Manager

Specifically for high end/luxury residential general contracting and construction, the Quality Assurance & Control Manager (QACM) is responsible for the daily QC oversight of specific projects to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the established minimum standards for.
The QACM role includes direct oversight and review of the entire physical inspection phase of the workflow process, working with other in-house and external personnel to produce and document a quality product.
The QACM ensures Company standards and quality are adhered to with each project.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review QA/QC plans for new and pre-construction work and engage in new project planning with Project Manager Perform weekly/bi-weekly on-site walkthroughs with PMs and APMs, ensuring specific quality standards are constantly met at all levels of construction projects, in particular, Company's standards for high end/luxury residential construction.
Participate in the site internal and external site audits and evaluations.
Oversee and manage quality assessment of materials.
In consultation with the project staff, review technical specifications and recommend standard construction specifications for all items of works for their effective use in projects' works.
Identify and discuss any issues or challenges; document findings, generate reports, and propose solutions to site construction manager, PM, and Director of Operations.
Review contractor practices and conventional methodologies and make recommendations where remedial action is required.
Complete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses.
Implement the QA/QC management system and approved QA/QC plan at site.
Verify that the quality-related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
Ensure that safety is adhered to at site.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control Time Management Organizational Skills Excellent communication skills Critical Thinking/Problem Solving Risk Management Strategic Planning Project Management Education, Experience, & Qualifications Experience in the management of quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) programs for new, high end/luxury residential construction projects Construction management (CM) certification or equal educational experience Deep experience in historic district QA, particularly in or similar to New Orleans neighborhoods is highly preferred.
Experience interpreting codes and specifications.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour construction safety training.
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills and ability to coordinate the work of others, work on tight deadlines, and handle multiple concurrent activities.
High degree of personal initiative and willingness to accept wide responsibilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
Bilingual is a PLUS (English/Spanish) Work AuthorizationApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Read, analyze, and interpret data (emails, spreadsheets, memos, letters, etc.
) Maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time.
Work Environment Some duties are performed in a professional office environment, and the role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and various digital devices.
On-site conditions may include working in a high-noise environment, working around construction machinery, and moving mechanical parts.
While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to conditions that include weather such as heat and/or humidity and cold, fumes or airborne particles, exposure to dust and asphalt, and environments in which proper protective safety gear may be required.
