Maintenance Technician -
New Orleans, LA New Orleans, LA Full-time Full-time $18 - $23 an hour $18 - $23 an hour The primary responsibility of this position is to perform maintenance of all production and facilities equipment to include 5-axis CNC mills, blowers, pumps, compressors, HVAC units, saws, chillers, motors, and other industrial equipment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
performing preventative/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting failures, diagnosing root cause(s), making repairs, interacting with our computerized maintenance management system to view assigned work orders, log work performed and close work orders.
Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail are critical in this role.
Documented experience in industrial maintenance with a focus on one or more disciplines (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls, hydraulic) required.
Specific experience in CNC machine operation/maintenance a huge plus.
Individuals from the oil & gas and/or maritime industries as well as military veterans form technical MOS's are encouraged to apply.

KEY
Responsibilities:
Adheres to Safety and Quality and Management Systems.
Conducting scheduled maintenance events - Short & Long term.
Follow Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures for all equipment to minimize unplanned downtime.
Take a lead role in responding to machine breakdowns, diagnosing root causes, planning repairs and machine improvements to minimize repeat equipment failures.
Support engineering and production staff to schedule maintenance to minimize effect on production.
Records test/inspection results and enters detailed notes into computerized maintenance management system as required.
Be able to work with minimal supervision (after initial familiarization period), make critical decisions and communicate effectively to upper management.
Education and Work
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Stable, documented work history.
Two or more years in an industrial/manufacturing environment, or military experience in a technical MOS.
