Summary:
The Table Games Supervisor accurately administers and oversees the operations of an assigned area in compliance with casino regulations and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Oversees all DealersMaintains bank floats and controls game movement determined for optimal playing timeConstructively trains and supervises Dealers to ensure proper procedures of casino rules and regulationsWorks with other game areas to track and document players winning tax limitsInsures players' information is correctly input into the systemVerifies issuance of credit after all necessary signatures are confirmedTracks essential play and playersRelays any pertinent information to SupervisorSettles minor disputes in a professional and timely manner or uses judgment to call surveillance team for assistanceAttends supervisory meetings as required by upper management and corporate officesAble to maintain area with little supervision from upper managementUses independent judgment in the interest of Harrah's to effectively recommend the hire, transfer, review, promote, discharge, reward, or discipline staffConducts timely performance reviews in accordance with company policies and procedures; provides feedback; coaching and development guidance utilizing a consistent, approachable demeanor while clearly articulating expectationsEnsures that each team member clearly understands and is held accountable for their respective performance expectationsVerbally communicates to guests and employees with utmost respectActs as role modes and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the sameMeets the attendance guidelines of the fob and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Qualifications:
Must have gaming knowledge, which should include the actual dealing and supervising of at least two table gamesMust have a broad knowledge of casino rules, regulations and procedures, with strong organizational, communication and leadership skillsExcellent customer service and employee skills are essentialMust be able to get along with co-workers and work as a teamMust present a well-groomed appearancePHYSICAL, MENTAL ANDENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino, including in and around assigned Pit area during entire shiftMust be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items as necessaryMust be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guests' demands in a fast pace environmentMust be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dustMust be able to read, verify and sign appropriate documents relating to the game in a small areaExcellent vision (including peripheral) is needed to protect the gamesMust be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situationsMust be able to read, write, speak and understand EnglishMust be able to respond to visual and aural cuesMust be able to stand for 2- 3 hour incrementsGAMING PERMIT:
