The Table Games Dealer/Supervisor Dual-Rate performs all aspects of dealing assigned games while maintaining the highest standards in customer serviceAssists in tracking play and game observation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Demonstrates an effective working knowledge of dealing policies and gaming proceduresRequired to communicate all pertinent information to supervisorsEffectively handles casino gaming checksCreates an opportunity for fun and excitement by being friendly, supportive and enthusiastic towards guestsAdheres to Harrah's appearance standardsDemonstrates positive acceptance of demanding scheduling needsAlways presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the sameMeets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED is requiredMust be able to successfully complete a basic math test, and pass a Harrah's audition displaying adequate gaming skillsMust proficiently deal a minimum of one major game, and have one year of previous dealing experienceExcellent employee and customer service skills are essentialMust be able to get along with co-workers and work as a teamMust present a well-groomed appearance.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino, including in and around assigned Pit area during entire shiftMust be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items as necessaryMust be able to stand for 2- 3 hour incrementsMust be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guests' demands in a fast pace environmentMust be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dustMust be able to read, verify and sign appropriate documents relating to the game in a small areaMust be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out betsMust possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and moneyMust accurately balance chip bank at the beginning and end of each shiftExcellent vision (including peripheral) is needed to protect the gamesMust be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situationsMust be able to read, write, speak and understand EnglishMust be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
