Armed Security Officers in the New Orleans Metro Area Starting Pay $18/hour Law Enforcement or Military Background preferred but not required.
Must either be registered as a Security Officer with LSBPSE, or be able to meet requirements for registration, including:
Pass a fingerprint background check with the State Police Complete necessary classroom training Complete firearms training Ability to purchase your own firearm Must be in good physical condition to complete necessary assignments, which might include walking or standing for extended periods of time.
Must have a professional appearance.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Must have open availability to work.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have a personal cell phone.
Responsibilities:
Depending on nature of assignment:
Conduct mobile or foot patrols of an assigned area or property.
Access and egress control.
Search of persons, containers, or vehicles.
Perform other duties as requested or required.
