Job Description
Summary:
This role is responsible for delivering exceptional service in all interactions with guests.
As a Front Desk Agent, you will go above and beyond to exceed guest expectations.
Your tasks will include handling telephone operations, checking guests in and out, light cleaning and maintenance duties, preparing documents and reports, and taking reservations.
Additionally, you may provide concierge services such as arranging transportation, making dining reservations, fulfilling floral requests, and offering special event assistance.
To succeed as a Front Desk Agent, you must have excellent communication skills, adhere to the property's dress code, and be skilled in conflict resolution.
It is important to have a thorough understanding of Groogrux Hotels policies and to greet each guest warmly and attentively.
As a Front Desk Agent, you will play a vital role in maintaining the company's culture, values, and reputation with the public, staff, guests, vendors, and partners.
You will also be responsible for promoting the property's vision in all your actions and decisions, and you will be accountable to the overall team.

Essential Functions:
- Adhere to all operational standards, policies and procedures, training material, memos, and verbal instructions - Complete all items on the shift checklist - Check in and check out hotel guests confidently, professionally, and personally - Take accurate and efficient hotel reservations - Assist in the development and implementation of special projects - Collaborate with the Bar staff to ensure a seamless guest experience between the two areas - Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and espresso drinks, while maintaining a clean workspace - Respond promptly to guest comments and concerns, and notify your supervisor for assistance and corrective measures when necessary - Maintain positive relationships with all employees and guests - Answer all calls in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner - Keep an accurate log of guest calls for assistance or complaints, and ensure their resolution - Open, secure, and balance shift banks, verifying all cash, credit card, and room charge transactions during all shifts - Maintain accuracy in all accounting and billing procedures - Have comprehensive knowledge of hotel availability, current rates, and special events that may affect occupancy and availability - Possess fluent knowledge of local restaurants, special events, city attractions, amenities, and directions - Foster open lines of communication with all departments and upper management through email, log books, meetings, etc.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
College degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience in the hospitality or service industry.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of a luxury hospitality environment.
Competencies:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals - Ability to write routine reports and correspondence - Effective oral communication skills in front of groups of co-workers and sister property staff - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word - Ability to understand other computer programs (e.
