AS/400 (Cobol) - Software Engineer up to $85K Full-time hire: Senior iSeries Engineer up to $85K base. The IT Software Engineer or Architect is a member of a programming team responsible for developing, packaging and delivering new system functionality and supporting existing systems in an iSeries (AS400) Cobol environment. The incumbent will be responsible for accomplishing all project and production support work within prescribed time frames and ensuring that proper standards have been met. Duties: Design, code, and test programming solutions using COBOL/400 Prepare necessary program documentation and operating procedures Provide production support for vendor supplied and/or in-house developed applications for the business areas. Development of business knowledge within specific lines of Pan American Life Insurance Effectively manage assigned production and project workload Follow prescribed SDLC model and Change Control processes for software development and deployment Requirements: Bachelors degree in
computer
