Due to continued global growth, we are seeking a customer oriented, project focused Welding Engineer for our client in Houston. We have worked with this client for over 9 years, and all of the candidates we have placed there continue to develop professionally as the company grows and expands. We are seeking candidates that desire a highly visible role both with internal as well as external clients. The Welding Engineer will be responsible forboth small projects and sub-scopes of large projects. These positions will have extensive customer interaction and they will be responsible for ensuring the projects are executed within planned budget and schedule constraints.
Responsibilities: Work Scopes definitions for potential projects Proposals/Quotes preparation, including technical, personnel and equipment requirements Conduit between customers, engineers, quality / inspection and shop employees Manage the project budget, subcontract activities (NDE, DT, machining) and schedule Develop, qualify and write welding techniques per applicable code/specification Requirements: BS Degree in Engineering; Welding Engineering preferred, Welding Engineering Technology or Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical, with experience related to welding acceptable PE license a plus Industrial experience in Engineering, related to welding fabrication (preferably Oil & Gas industry) Working knowledge of applicable design Codes and Standards (AWS, ASME, API, ANSI, etc.)For immediate consideration, email your resume and cover letter directly to Shanklin & Associates.For other great opportunities, feel free toBrowse OurCurrent Job Openings. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
