Warehouse/Dock Supervisor
New Orleans is seeking a Supervisor/Dispatcher to coordinate the daily loading and unloading of equipment; to dispatch CDL drivers to and from various locations; assist the warehouse manager in coordinating all front dock activities, and serve as the liaison between site and the individual warehouse departments. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
o Promote and foster a team atmosphere with all other departments
o Communicate electronically and verbally with all warehouse and show site departments regarding show site deliveries and returns.
o Ensure existing procedures and policies are followed regarding DOT rules and regulations.
o Supervise front dock loading and unloading and coordinate with the other warehouse departments the loading and unloading of their respective equipment.
o Facilitate the collection and distribution of all equipment manifests as per event.
o Schedule future driver and vehicle needs based on the branch show schedule, and as requested by the respective foreman/supervisors for Deco and Freight.
o Assist the Warehouse and Freight Manager in determining upcoming trailer needs based on the branch show schedule and adjust levels as necessary.
o Weekly maintain and reorder appropriate inventory levels of all general consumables.
o Conduct daily safety talks for the front dock.
o Ensure all front dock work areas and offices are kept clean and organized.
o Assist the warehouse manager in the application of all established general procedures for front dock operations, such as: Communication front dock and show site supervisors and daily general front dock procedures.
o Assist and coordinate bi-annual inventory for the front dock.
Requirements:
o Minimum 2 years related experience
o Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
o Must be highly organized and possess excellent communication skills with a high degree of customer service attitude
o Must be computer literate (MS Office and Outlook)
o Forklift experience
Education:
o High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
o Associate's DegreeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
