Video Editor/ Motion Graphics Artist

Velocity Agency in New Orleans is looking for a motivated and talented Video Editor/ Motion Graphics Designer
This person will work closely with our broadcast producer, directors, coordinator, and assistant editors:
o Editing HD and film/ television commercials
o Editing long format documentaries
o Editing reality TV shows
o Editing marketing/ viral videos
o Developing innovating conceptual approaches to HD post production techniques
We are looking for someone who can:
o Efficiently and effectively manage time and achieve grace under pressure
o Maintain a high level of quality and professionalism in a team environment
o Take constructive criticism and incorporate it into his/her work
o Keep a can-do attitude & willingness to pitch in where needed
o Provide positive energy and be a catalyst for growth, both as an individual and for the company
Qualified applicants will have:
o Expert knowledge of Avid Media Composer/ Adobe Premier
o Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects
o Experience with Nuke or Node-based compositing
o Experience with Syntheyes or 3D Camera-Tracking programs o Novice knowledge of 3D Studio Max, Maya, or Cinema 4D
o Knowledge of Computer Networking
o Capabilities with Creative Conception
o Skills in Sound Design / Audio Mixing
o Professional Hardware Experience
o Ability to produce high quality national work within deadlines
o Excellent Communication and digital asset organization skills and discipline
This is a full-time position, freelancers are welcome to apply. Applicants should submit a cover letter including resume and digital portfolio.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
