Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor
Our firm, a leading innovative Global Manufacturing organization, has an immediate need for a Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor at its New Orleans, LA based headquarters. This role functions to supervise quality technicians and quality auditors within the order fulfillment area. The incumbent also holds responsibility for training auditors and technicians and developing their global product knowledge.
Responsibilities of this role include:
Leads and directs associates on quality standards while driving Continuous Improvement.
Charges and participates in the development, maintenance and improvement of quality drawings, specifications and control plans.
Works with quality technical group to help implement and develop statistical methods of process control and improvement.
Contributes in continued development and improvement of the Quality Manual for global operations.
Ensure that specifications, standard processes and operations are being maintained.
Audit quality system insuring adherence to Quality Manual procedures.
Evaluate causes of scrap and work toward the elimination of such defects.
The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other related manufacturing science with at least 5 years of leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, production control methods, best practices in engineering controls, and industrial time study techniques is critical and Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly desired. Supervisory experience is essential.
