Web Application UI/UX Designers ---- wireframes and story boards in New O, LA!
We are a rapidly growing software company, creating cutting edge technology for the medical industry and are based in New Orleans, LA. We are building a web application that offers a complete clinical and business solution to our healthcare clients.
We are seeking an exception Web Application UI/UX Designer who truly understands the difference between UX and UI and has nearly equal competency in both. Located in one of the fastest tech centers in the country, we are growing and have been name as one of the Best Places in to Work in 2014!
Ideal Web Application UI/UX Designer candidates will be able to:
1. gather and clarify requirements for features and design the conceptual workflows, illustrated through wireframes and story boards
2. take that high level design and convert to the finished graphic compositions and working HTML prototypes.
3. blend perfectly into our design team and be responsible for both the workflows and user experience in our software as well as user interface elements and the general look and feel of the application.

- are highly creative and talented
- have a deep understanding of human-computer interaction and a passion for design to work with a team to create state-of-the-art web application software for both the desktop and mobile platforms.
Successful Web Application UI/UX Designers Requirements:
Masters or Bachelors Degree in graphic, web, UI or UX design

years of post-bachelors experience with industry leading design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Axure and Keynote/PowerPoint
Must be able to think conceptually, engage in information modeling sessions, follow technical discussions and communicate extremely well
Must be able to follow instructions when final decisions are made and work well in a collaborative setting
Must have a strong working knowledge of mobile design
Must understand best practices for creating cross-platform web and mobile designs using fluid or responsive design concepts and techniques
Possess a thorough understanding of HTML5/CSS3 including the ability to write HTML and CSS by hand
Must be able to work efficiently, effectively and independently on multiple projects (or multiple features of a single product)
Must have a creative flair and originality while remaining versatile and able to take critical feedback without feeling crushed or defeated
Must pay close attention to detail
Must be a self-started and have ability to self-teach and catch on quickly
Nice to have a strong working knowledge of print-design process from conception to delivery, with ability to troubleshoot issues if they arise
High sense of professionalism regarding attitude, punctuality and appearance
Currently live (or desire to move) to New Orleans, Louisiana
Responsibilities of our Web Application UI/UX Designers:
Design UI components, storyboard workflows and create prototypes for web applications
Deliver complete, high quality design solutions on time, incorporating business, technical and user requirements
Drive design thinking and foster a design-first culture across the company
Act as a user advocate and lead UI/UX discussions with business and technical departments including visual design, information architecture, and complete user experience.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers and business leaders throughout the entire software development lifecycle

Experience with prototyping software such as Axure a huge plus
Strong task organization and time management skills
Experience working with Agile software development teams (SCRUM) a plus
