Children's Hospital of New Orleans is a leader in Pediatric care throughout the Southeast region. We are seeking a dynamic Senior Patient Services Representative in the Admitting Department. The mission of making care available to all children has allowed us to grow as an organization.

With over 40 pediatric specialties and more than 400 physicians. It is the only full service hospital exclusively for children in Louisiana and the Gulf South. The Senior Patient Services Representative is responsible for professionally and timely greeting and registering patients. This position is the first contact for patients seeking treatment and will therefore create the patient's first impression of Children's Hospital. This position has the responsibility of providing excellent customer service and accurately obtaining and entering demographic information to register patients. The incumbent will also obtain insurance information, verify insurance, request necessary authorizations and collect payments. The Senior Patient Services Representative assists the Admitting Supervisor with staffing problems, work assignments and training. Promoting effective public relations with physicians, patients, guests and departments within the hospital is required. This position relies on teamwork and the ability to recognize, participate and adjust to changing situations and work assignments. Previous experience, advanced computer skills and medical terminology is required.
