The CreditRisk Director will be responsible for managing a team of Underwriters coveringthe Louisiana Middle Market region in the South segment. The candidate must be able to perform in a demanding,complex, and highly visible environment. The successful candidatemust possess excellent managerial and people skills and must be a proven teamplayer capable of training and developing a new staff.
Thisposition will be a senior level position that will be focused full timeon credit review and approval. Client focus is key as the CreditRisk Director deals with customers at any management level and assessesmanagement quality. Individuals at this level must be capable of fullyindependent activity with the primary responsibility of approving credit andthe credit quality of their portfolio. The candidate is involved withunderwriting commitments for large and complex relationships, working with alarge number of bankers. Additionally the candidate implements the policies andprocedures necessary to achieve the mission of the Risk Organization and ensuresthey are being adhered to on an ongoing basis. The Credit Risk Director'sdecisions have a major impact on portfolio quality and profitability
BA/BBA/ MBA and completion of a major corporate bank credit training program (or the equivalent corporate banking / corporate finance experience)
Typically have 10 -15yrs in banking and lending experience which includes credit, structuring and marketing.
Proven leadership skills. Able to manage, coach and motivate a team of underwriters who are at varying levels of development.
Possess significant analytical and finance skills in order to underwrite, guide and help structure complex and / or difficult credits.
Preferably has institutional credibility within JPMC's Risk organization and with other leaders in the South Middle Market segment.
