HR SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT PLACEMENT & CLASSIFICATION)

Time in grade:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade (e.g. one year at the GS-12 grade level for consideration for the GS-11 grade level). Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience as defined below. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for the GS-12:
At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties:
(1) Providing guidance and assistance to management and employees on human resources issues; (2) Interpreting and applying laws, regulations. and policies pertaining to staffing and recruitment to internal placement, merit promotion, and delegation hiring examining hiring; (3) Using established procedures to conduct job analysis; (4) Determining applicant qualifications; (5) Identifying problems and recommending appropriate actions to management; (6) Offering advice, suggestions and/or alternative staffing options or solutions to both applicants and managers; and (7) Providing guidance on vacancy announcements. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, for the GS-0201, Human Resources Management Series can be found:

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
